This morning I had the opportunity to go back to the Serrani chocolate factory, run by a smiling Carlo and Oanna. I've already been several times by this point, and love showing it to our visitors because it's really a special place. Probably the pictures will tell you best, but bear in mind that EVERYTHING is entirely produced at Oanna's hands...accompanied by her 45-day-old baby.
So, here we go:

This is the factory shop |

Meet Carlo, Oanna, and baby! |

Factory overview with bags of chocolate in the foreground |
Yes, olive oil is used as an ingredient! |
Cranberries. Honey. Yum. |
This machine is used for coating things with chocolate (think hazelnuts, lemon peel, kumquats, etc.) |
On the left is the hazelnut blender. The right is a mixer for fillings. |
Their son is so proud of the factory! |
Isn't she precious? |
Background: chocolate fountain. Foreground: chocolate coconut bars. |
This is the cooling belt. |
Final wrapping, scales, etc. |
Yes, they are always happy to give samples. Yum!
Love,
Alexandra
