Running View

The weather in Todi at this time of year is fog. It often lasts all day. But it settles in the valley and often we have a beautiful day in the center of town (at the top of the hill) while those lower down have miserable, damp, no-sunshine kinds of days.

Yesterday Massimo and I paid our dues by running on the track down in the valley. Today he wanted sunshine, so he drove us to a nearby hill that he knew would be above the fog. We had a gorgeous, sunny morning run. Here is a picture he took just before we started.

The hill in the middle of that sea of fog is Todi. In the far distance you might just be able to make out snow-covered peaks. The light patch in the near distance is a small lake.

If you had those types of views you would be a runner, too.

  1. I agree! Or at least I'd be hiking, something Mom and I missed in our move to South Georgia. Dad
