A Spot of Serenity

A few months ago, I wrote about finding a little old lady who insisted on taking me into her garden and wanted to give me something-or-other to go with the asparagus I was purchasing. Well, I finally made it back to visit her, and we had a lovely time. Her garden is so very interesting...compact (only a few hundred square feet), concrete-based (so large raised beds), and full of surprises.

Looking towards the front door

Looking away from the front door...lilies, phlox, and more!

Carnations running wild, next to...

...cherry tomatoes, next to...

? Frilly poppies?

I'd never seen belladonna...so pretty!

Lots of grapes

And on a patio accessed from her interior, angels' trumpets!

She says I have to come in the morning because there's more in bloom then. That's for next time!

Love,

Alexandra
