Yesterday, three of the four Mannaioli kids were able to come help us bake Christmas cookies. It was such fun to have them, particularly since it's been a while since we've been able to get together. Francesco is in Jeremy's class, Martina was in James's elementary school class, and Giovanni is younger (about 10, maybe? Time passes...). Unfortunately, Agnese (a little older than Florence and Ashley) was unable to come because she had to study for exams.
We made meringue mushrooms, almond crescents, nut chews, orange chocolate paradise bars, and rolled sugar cookies. Yum!

Kind of failed on Christmas cookie cutters...but we presupposed Easter! |

Not beautiful, but oh-so-delicious almond crescents |

It started snowing halfway through! |

Caramel nut chews |

Woke up to this on Epiphany! |
