As you probably know, Orietta has become a very good friend. She is a hard worker, but because of the economic times, there have been few tourists. Unfortunately, her trade, ceramic making, relies on tourists. Although she has a few local customers, when times get tough, the unnecessary items are the first things to start economizing on. Lately several shops have been closing, which is very sad. We have posted a few samples of Orietta's work, and if you would like to buy anything from her, we can get it to you in August.

p.s. Note from Alexandra: 1 euro is about $1.30. One of the things we really treasure about Todi is the diversity of handcrafted items. We hate to see the artists struggling and want to do what we can to keep them around!

These pendants are about 1&3/4 " in diameter and cost 22 €

The earrings are roughly 1&1/2" long (they make really good gifts) and cost  24 €

These necklaces are  not quite 1&1/2" in diameter  and cost 16 euros

This lamp is absolutely lovely. It is an aquamarine that you can't quite make out with the camera.

This espresso set includes four cups, a tray and a sugar bowl.

This lamp matches the espresso set and is absolutely bella.  It is made with gold (which you can't really see in the photo). The box has a very pleasing round shape, which compliments the pattern on top. 

This box is almost like a bubble it is so round.  Orietta has many of these, particularly in spring colours. They, as you can see, cost 18.50€

This new design of Orietta's is rather nice and the box beneath it is deep.  

This picture is blurry, but the box depicted is more of a shallow, covered dish. It is just right for holding earrings in!

These bowls are much prettier in real life and they come with any letter on them! They are just right for salt bowls or for rings. They cost 14.50 €

This scatola has a form that the photo just ruins, and I can't describe. Beautiful. Sturdy. Useful. Perfect for candies.
