A few photos for fun

Michael & the girls in the Teatro --we saw La Traviata on Sunday!

This was my view this morning on the way home from dropping James at school

Another shot of Montesanto in the mist

The valley was an ocean
This is the kind of produce we see in the "regular" grocery stores

Round zucchini -- ever heard of them? I hadn't!

Bonus photo: streetsweeping crew -- note the broom on the truck; they're made of tied-together branches/straw a la Harry Potter.

  1. You are SO blessed! I drove by your house this weekend. It looked fine.

  2. I am enjoying reading your blog; the photos are really nice, giving us a look at life in your area. That street sweeper is really small looking. The idea that someone does something with a broom is kind of laughable when I think of the street sweepers going up and down our street.

Knitting tea is at my house on Sunday. We will be thinking of you. I am giving away, recycling most of my last 10 years of knitting magazines with your mother's encouragement. Am also collecting yarn to pass on. We will see how that goes. The magazines can go out to the curb on Tuesday, the yarn, not so easily moved.

Had Cecilia in an AP US History class today when I subbed. She is a happy nice girl, seems to be having a good time in life.

Gene remarked on how the girls will be gone and Gabriella will have a whole other family to raise. It is great the way it worked out: two girls, two boys. Gene said she was doling out chili on a PSAT day luncheon that the Mother's Group put on. I wonder who was keeping Henry and WIlliam. I am going to lunch with Vivian on Tuesday so will get the particulars.

Take care, will respond on occasion. Mary Jane
