Holwell Farm

This week we are at Holwell Farm in Dartmoor.  Dartmoor is a national park in the southwestern reaches of England, and it is characterized by low, scrubby growth mixed with grasslands.  It is a highlands area with piles of granite rocks (tors) punctuating the beautiful landscape.

We arrived at Holwell Farm at sunset, breathless from the scenery we had seen on the way in.

Over the next couple of days I managed to get some daytime shots during bright spots in the ever-changing weather.  In this one you can see Haytor on the horizon.  We walked there across the moor several times.

Shots of the farm itself.  It is a working farm, but they have added a half-dozen holiday cottages.
