There is a new group in town that sponsors events (like the ice skating rink in Piazza and the mini-soccer tournament this past summer), and as part of the winter events, they hosted a "casa di Babbo Natale" (Santa's House). I had heard that it was pretty cute, so I was happy that they were still open for business when we were out and about yesterday.
Dear readers, I was stupefied. It is the most amazing thing I have ever seen. Accessed through an alley just off the piazza that was charmingly decorated with evergreen branches and other small items, you go in through a normal-looking door (well, normal for here), to find:
In the middle were tables, with elf helpers, and stationery, stamps, and more!
Moving on, it's time to meet Santa himself in his own apartments!

And then the studio for writing letters to Santa:
(I didn't take big views because there were children in there and I wanted to protect privacy)

This huge room had sofa, fireplace, bed, desk, plush chair, and more! Absolutely stupendous!
I was so charmed, I went through twice!
Love,
Alexandra
I probably would have been lost on the first clue. LOL
