An Afternoon At The Pool

Yesterday we decided to try the buses again to go to the pool. The first time we tried linea C and found out that it actually didn't go to the right destination after it had made a whole circle around town.

So we got bus tickets for linea B and made our way to the pool in the early afternoon. We found a small shady spot and settled down. We all got into the pool and the slides opened up at three, which we greatly enjoyed, including Mummy.

James and I stayed until 7:20, but the others got Leonardo to pick them up at six. A lot of people started to leave. Our friend Giacomo snuck up behind me and pushed me in when I was least expecting it and James decided to start another fun water fight like we had the first day we met most of our friends. After about fifteen minutes of continuous splashing, the life guard came over and threw James into the water and gave him a high five. We thought he was going to tell us to stop, but he just smiled and walked away.

Anyway, I said I would send some pics of the pool, so here they are:

Big pool!

That's only one of the water slides!!!!!!

  1. The thing Ashley didn't mention was that I came across a lady who had an interesting speech impediment that I've never heard in English: a "r" stutter. So when I talked to her, she said, "Non ti prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreoccupare" and "Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrazie." Very sweet lady, and I found it such an interesting linguistic difference!
