View from the Market

We get used to walking places here.  The scenes are interesting and you watch people and see friends, so it doesn't seem like a drag.  But every now and then you get a little view that reminds you that you really do go somewhere when you walk.

When we got down to the bottom of the market today, just past the chickens and ducks, I caught this glimpse of Todi.

Somewhere right in the middle of that town is our apartment.  This walk was not substantially different from the grocery trip the family makes every day.  We just came a little way off the busy main road so we could were able to see the distance.

  1. Do you use a little cart to wheel the groceries home or does everything have to be carried?

    1. Of course we do! In fact, we have two. They are modeled by James in an earlier post!

    2. Oh I forgot !
Can you get an odometer for the carts? That would be fun!

    3. It would be fun! Of course, as Michael points out, it's really the slope that makes the difference. A 2 km walk can feel like a marathon when you're walking up a steep hill!

Now a motor assist...THAT would be useful!
