Laundry Translation Error

Sigh. At least I eventually figured it out. "Ammorbidente" is not laundry detergent.




It is fabric softener. No wonder the towels won't absorb water.

I didn't even try to read that word when I bought this. Everyone knows what laundry detergent looks like, right?

I'll let you know the word for laundry detergent after I've been back to the store.

    Michael, everyone knows that one great tactic of the married man is to flub up the laundry so the disgusted wife will "take over and do it right". Good job, except I've just blown your cover.

    The only problem is that I used the same ploy 20 years ago and haven't done laundry since. Trust me -- I know that one! I'll be getting some "detergente" today for my sweet thing.

    My mistake -- it's "detersivo". Italian word for the day...
